Update on Nancy Begley

Sad news came to me few hours ago. Nancy Begley is visiting with her family on the mainland and was in a car accident with her sisters Donna and Carol. Details are emerging slowly, broken leg, hand, collar & shoulder bones and ribs, but they are alive. I hear that it will be a long road to recovery. Many of you understand what they are facing, so let’s help them out to bear the load and let’s hope it will all go better with our help and prayers.

Dear Friends & Family,
Once again I apologize for this "group" letter, but life continues to be very busy here as we finish up our work and prepare to "hit the road" and look for our next home.  Rick really needs to be seen every 2 to 3 weeks as they need to x-ray his elbow often to make sure all the screws and the titanium plate are holding up well as the multiple bones mend. I do feel bad for him being this handicapped, but he has a positive outlook and is dealing with all these tribulations quite well.
We will leave our little apartment tomorrow morning (3/15) and travel to Edgewood, NM (40 miles east of Albuquerque) to put some our stuff at my sister's house and leave a vehicle.  Rick is actually going to drive from Phoenix to Albuquerque in one of our cars.  The doctor said he can drive, so hopefully he'll do well.  He has some movement in the elbow and can rest his arm on a pillow.  I'm sure we'll make lots of stops along the way.  It's about a 7 hour drive from here.  After a few days of rest, we'll head up into Colorado to check out a few places.  We loved living in Colorado when we lived there years ago and the property taxes are very appealing.  One of our goals is to keep our overhead lower so we can enjoy being semi-retired.  We also want to avoid living in a neighborhood where the houses are all very close to each other.  Beautiful nature and views are a must!  We hope to find just the right place soon, but we'll see.....  We still have some hurdles to go over, but it feels good to finally "sort of " be on our way to the next chapter.  Thanks so much for all the love and prayers that have been sent our way.
This E-mail address won't be checked as often as Rick's address on his Laptop for a while as we're traveling.  His E-mail address is
We'll keep in touch and let you know how our journey is progressing.
Much love from Rick & Colleen

Aloha Friends and Supporters of
“Sunday Night, Music with a Message,”

I have been preaching on the “air” for over a decade and it's been good. People across the Hawaiian Islands are hearing the gospel and the Christian worldview, calling in asking questions and asking for prayer. We are going to them, reaching them where they are and on a radio channel they listen to. Now, the #1 Rock station on the Big Island has said YES to the gospel being preached Sunday nights starting April 4th- which happens to be Easter Sunday!
Thank you for your prayers and kokua (help) in believing with me that God would open this new door.  We will be reaching between over 10,000 listeners each week (not to mention those who can tune in “on-line”) and that’s very exciting.  I thank God for this opportunity to preach His love to the unsaved and lost of this island.  It’s hard, but it’s also fun rock'in it for Jesus with music from Bob Dylan, U2, Larry Norman, plus Christian Worship, Rock, Blues and Black Gospel.  Music opens the door for the message that sin is sin, God is love, and Jesus died for us and rose again.
Now that this first hurdle has been passed, the next is to raise the funds to pay for all this.  As you may have guessed, being on a bigger radio station means paying more money for the airtime, a lot more money.  But I know that the bigger the challenges, the bigger the blessings.  Like David and Goliath, it was Goliath that helped define David's ministry by his facing that impossible challenge. I'm buying airtime for a whole year and paying upfront for it and have six week to do this.
There are Christian businesses here that are paying for commercial spots to be played during my show, but it still falls short of the amount needed. Your aloha and kokua will help. Please consider giving (and don't be surprised if God tells you to give some obscenely generous amount, Ha!). Praise God!
Anyway, please make checks payable to: Music with a Message
(We hope to be non-profit by the end of this year.)

Please Pray for...

Do you remember John Cinquegrana?  Married Ken's daughter, Kathy.  Had a daughter, Felicia.  John passed away some time ago.  His daughter, Felicia,  is still living at the family home in Warwick, RI. and could use our prayers as she decides her future without her father.  The passing of a father is always difficult on an only daughter.

Nina Kendrick when into the presence of the Lord today.

Psa 116:12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?
Psa 116:13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of
the LORD.
Psa 116:14 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all
his people.
Psa 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

Nina is loved and will be missed by many.  The good news?  She's has
